Insane

So Kevin and I thought we should take our jumps to a new level. So the 70ft bridge was our choice. OMG it was intense. We had to work our way up to it. One where was to wait for the train. I jumped way before it got close, but Kevin waited, needed to experience it I guess.

Today we will attempt our jumps at a higher site. We have gotten addicted to this. And I would never be able to do this at home. Cody has chosen not to jump but he does swim...
Later this evening we will make ice cream, the homemade way. Leesa got this really neat ice cream maker that you throw around and play with. I will show yall pictures.

Don't Jump

We went to this swimming hole with giant cliffs. I had to jump. It took me a minute to get the nerve, but once I did it, I love it.

Wee

So Leesa and I went to this Iron Horse State Park. And you know we had to go get good pictures. So we climbed all the way up Mt. Everest. I had the job of holding the camera lens. As I am going down, Leesa reminds me of how much the lens cost, and if I fall don't drop the lens. Forget the fact that I might break my legs or neck, just don't drop the lens.

*for full effect...click em' to big em'

After my treacherous fall. I just had to try to get a picture of her. guess what I didn't get one...UGH

Party

Well John had a little party for Leesa. I was able to kinda get a shot of her, but you know her it will never be a clear photo. I ended up playing with the kids toys, losing my wallet, which John found on the slide.

We are heading back to MT. I know Cody will be happy to see me, he has been kinda Momma sick.

First Attempt

I wasn't so lucky with my first try of getting a pic of Leesa. She seems to get that hand up faster than I can shoot.

Cody got his own cowboy hat. He is so ready to be a mountain boy.

On The Road Again

Sis and I are going to Seattle today. I am leaving Cody here, this is my vacation. He would much rather stay with the boys. We will be there for a few days.

Oh hey I got an idea, tell me what you think. I am thinking of doing a blog of Leesa. Well at least try. I will try to get a picture of her everyday I am here, kinda turn the camera on her. It might not be possible, but I am pretty sneeky.

We Are Here

Well we are here in Montana finally. After a long day yesterday we got to the house and our there was a new toy, the Mustang. OMG is it fast. I was going along at 20mph so I thought and I was going 60mph. I told my sis I could be home in a day with that. She laughed at me.

Cody didn't want to ride with me, he took to the horses.

We have three weeks here this time so we should get all the things done we want to.

I may not want to go home this time.

Today Is a Good Day

Hi, it's me, Marianna. Amy asked me to blog this for y'all since she doesn't have her computer just yet. I got teary-eyed when she gave it to me to type for her. She also asked me to tell you "thank you" for all the kind birthday wishes y'all had for her yesterday. She really appreciates it!

*******************************************
I made a choice 3 years ago that changed my life drastically. I lost my freedom, my dreams, my family - all hope. I was like every other Mother, play dates, school, snack time, story time. I had everything I needed and wanted more. My sister & I would talk all the time. My life was wonderful but I had to have more.

I was so into my addiction that months went by before I saw what was happening. By then, it was too late. I couldn't see what was right in front of me. I got arrested and with no hope of getting out of it. This was it - nothing or nobody could get me out. So for the next 3 years, I was to be owned by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. I was in a maximum security prison - yes, I was scared. I'm supposed to be playing Duck, Duck, Goose - not looking thru bars. I did my time and was granted parole - but as of today, July 12, 2007, I no longer belong to the State of Texas. I am off parole.

But it wasn't easy - I had to be trusted again - loved again - Cody had to regain his belief that Mom wouldn't leave him. Along with him - my sister & brother-in-law had to trust and believe - give me that 2nd chance. And then my dear friend Marianna, who took me into her home, had to trust that my past was behind me and help me thru this.

On this day, I wouldn't have made it without all of them.

Now the thought has come into my head that I'm free and I can do anything I want - sure it has. But what I want is with me now - Cody - Leesa - George - Sue - Marianna. That's all I need.

My best friend Christina always asks me if I miss her when I'm gone or on vacation. And the first thing I think of is - wow, someone cares that I'm gone - no one in prison misses me.

I have a great life. My son is with me - my family is behind me - a girlfriend who I love very much and loves me for me - which is a first when it comes to relationships. I have friends that I can go to about anything and at anytime. I have my life back today.

Today is a good day!

Loves The Camera

Gone Fishing

Howdy, y'all ~ it's me, Marianna! I've been asked to guest blog in Amy's blog since I was the one that took the shots below. John, Chance & I took Cody on his first fishing trip today! We went to a 1st place at a park, but unfortunately, it was all shut down due to flooding water. The water had come over the road about 2 miles up shore from where the lake bank normally is! So we drove to Stillhouse Hollow Dam. The park was shut down, but we went over to the dam side & climbed down these steep rocks to get to a decent fishing spot. We were kinda out of options ~ it was this or nothing. So here are some of the shots I took earlier today.

Here he is. The Great Fisherman! He was doing a pretty good job casting ~ he needs to watch the hook when he reels it in. We were nearly all casualties of the deadly hook! LOL

Here he is casting while John is attempting to catch a fish...

Here is his 1st fish! We made him kiss it, which I couldn't get him to hold still long enough to snap the shot, but he was pretty excited! He caught 2 more fish after that! These are baby blue gills, so we taught him how to "catch & release". Chance caught 1 blue gill, too.
This was his 2nd fish. He wanted to take it home... LOL. All-in-all, it was a good day! We had a lot of fun & Cody left smelling like worm guts & fishies. Just like all boys! Now he can't wait to go back up to Montana so his Uncles can take him fly fishing!
