Remember Then
I am so late posting this blog...but it has been one of those days.
We put our flag out every morning, part of Cody's requirments for scouts, but today was extra special. To pay tribute to all those who lost their lives and those who help in the Twin Towers diaster. Cody kinda gets what happened, but I am sure as years go by he will understand the seriuosness of it.

You are carrying on a very important tradition with your son by flying the flag.

I remeber it like it was yesterday. I live in NJ and could see the smoke on the day it happened. We must always remeber.
They had something on the news, how their 6 yr olds were trying to understand the meaning of what really happened. It's so complicated to go into it with them though...to tell them how complicated religion can get.
I'm sure you'll educate him well on it though. What a sad day.
