There is this place here called Ross Cedars. The trees there are so huge, big enough fro Bears to sleep in and hide all their food. It's a big walk but worth it.
It's called My Side Of The Mountain, about a boy who leaves home to live in a tree. He trains a hawk to hunt for him and he lives off the land. There are 2 sequels, Frightful's Mountain, and The Other Side Of The Mountain. Awsome kids books...about his age group I think...he's 7 right? I'd say 7-9 , thought I'm 38 and still reading them ;P Stacie ps..HATCHET is my all time favorite ever though, and it's usually required reading in school for about 4th grade age kids.
I live in Montana just trying to find my way in this big world. I love doing crazy things and eating cake... always root for the underdog..Pretty sweet life if you ask me
