Playin Hard

This is by far the best trip we have had here. Out of all the times we have been here I have never seen this much snow. I have to shovel the deck around the hot tub again. Kill me now. We are doing more sleding and going skiing. I have been out on the 4wheeler alot. Oh and we went sleding behind the house. Soooo deep, up to my chest in places. I made this sort of luge sled area. Works pretty good.
After a few wipe outs and plowin over people we had a good time. I will post some more pics later this week.

So Much Fun

Ok so we are here in MT. finally. It took us forever to get here. Our flights were good it was just sitting on the runway that delayed us. But we landed safe and sound. Now my bags were a different story. The airline lost my luggage. Yeah I was not happy. So we checked in to the hotel, cause sis wasn't coming till the next day, and just waited for them to call. I got my bag the next day...finally a toothbrush.
So now the fun starts. We are going sledding and all that fun stuff today. I got to shovel this morn. Damn...not easy. We will get up to 15in by this afternoon. More to come...

Home...Not For Long

We are home. All I can say is Cody had a good time. He was quiet most of our stay, not sure why. He did have fun in the snow amd he had a good Christmas. But I am glad to be home with my baby.
Now the fun begins. We fly out to MT. tomorrow. I can't wait to hang with my sis. We have alot of things planned, mostly fun activites for the child. But I do have fun myself. I will so be ready for the hot tub.

Greetings from Kansas

The drive to Kansas was good, but now lots of snow around us. I even got stuck in the driveway this morning. I hope this blows through for our drive home. We may have to do Christmas early and get out of here before the second storm hits. I do NOT do well in snow :)

Gone Away

I am heading out tomorrow morning to Ks. We will be there until the 26th when we drive home. I choose not to post from there due to I don't want to use Cody's dad's computer. You just never know. I am only going for my child, I would much rather be here with Sue for the holidays. But it works out cause she has to work everyday. I might send my sis some pics and have her post for me. I just don't want to take the chance. Cody is a bit scared about going, but he says as long as I am there he will be ok. After we get back from Ks. we fly to Mt. Sue will drive us to Dallas then off we go. Again she gets to work. But once I am there I will have full access to blogging. And there will be lots to talk about and see. Mondane

Well it was a long weekend. Cody spent two days in his room due to a not so lovely day at school on Friday. I just don't get this kid. He is so smart but the kid just has no "street" sense. He is gonna learn one day. So it was quiet here. Sue finally got a night off. I thought she had to work so I went in to wake her up at 10, when she tells me she is staying home with me. It was nice to watch TV with a warm body next to me.

Today we are going out to finish shopping and etc. I am packing for both trips, the first one we are driving. But then we will fly to Mt. I will post before I go to Ks.

All for now...any pointers on a spoiled, confused, angry child please share. Let me note, he is very angry at his dad for trying to take him. Cody is happy here, he has a good life with us.

Just Talk

I am going to see my friend again this weekend in TDC. I know how hard it is to be there and not have family around during the holidays. Since I am so close it just seems right to go. It's funny cause I have been thinking alot about those days. How I lived, what I did to pass time, the thoughts that went through my head. I was pretty busy in there. I worked 5 days a week, went to alot of classes, and read alot. I loved the days when I could just stay in my cell and have me time. Funny huh cause you would think all you have is time, but with 82 girls in your dorm, well it gets pretty loud. I would put my head phones on and write, clean, or do laundry. Nice! So hear I am today, free to do what I want. And I am thinking about prison. Wild!
Ok let's see whats else.....I am getting ready to go to Ks. so Cody can see his dad for Christmas, yes I am going to be there. Then we fly to Mt. thats my fun right there. Get to annoy my sis for a little while. Play in the snow...I can't wait. Sue is going to be home, but she wont be bored. She is going to see Trans- Siberian Orchestra while I am gone and work. She will be busy.

Tuesday Tid Bit

Well not much going on. I am starting to get ready for all my travels. I am one of those people who get ready way in advance. But I have two trips back to back so it takes a little more planning. Cody has a Christams Party next week with scouts. Oh and I am going to see my friend again. This time I will see a whole different group of guards. Should be interresting.
Family is doing good...its the hoildays so we are busy. That's all for now, kinda slow.

The Parade

Well we went to the Christmas Parade yesterday. It was a very long parade. Cody was # 16 and then #124. So of course we saw the whole thing. We started out with the scouts...I walked along side them passing out candy. Which we ran out of twice. I had to run to HEB in the midle of the parade to get more...I mean I had to run, my legs are sore this morning. Then when we got to the end Cody had to get off the scout float and go to the fire station where he stayed with the Chief, a friend of ours, to ride in the fire truck. But not just any truck the Hazmat Truck, his absolute favorite. From there he sat in the front seat with his bud, and waved at all the people. He was on cloud nine. He has never done anything like this before. I could hardly calm him down last night. At the end of the day we were done. What a great day.

Tid Bit Tuesday

Not much to tell. Cody went to his first counseling session and he likes it ok. He likes talking to someone else, so he can tell on me I guess. I am such a mean mom...haha. We went to see Christmas lights last week. I didn't have to go to court. This was just his turn. Cody is in the Christmas parade for the city. He is riding with the scouts on the float...then since he is at the front he will trade off and then ride with the Killeen Fire Dept. He will be with his buddy, the Dep. Cheif in his car.
He is so excited...
Ok not much else. Things are good.

The Other Side

I was always on the other side of the glass at visitation. Let me explain.

M would come visit me when I was in "time out". And every visit was delightful. I would grin when they called me out of my cell. I couldn't wait to get to visitation to see her and eat all kinds of junk.
Well this time it was different. I went back to the Unit I was on to visit a dear friend of mine. I didn't make friends in there, cause well let's face it who would want to. But OJ I just love. She and I worked together, we talked, we ate together, and we even look almost exactly alike. They called us Darrel and Daryl. OMG it was wild. I got there and of course the first guard I saw was one I worked for. He just smiled and said you look great. Then the next guard I saw said "I know who you are here to see". Even inmates that were having their visits were in awww. Their mouths dropped.
I just couldn't believe I was there. I had no doubts that I would not go back there, I knew I would visit OJ. So this time I got to get up and go home. No strip search, no going back to a cell. Before I left one guard got on the phone with me to talk. I will be going back to see her. It feels good to see her smile, knowing I will be there for her.
I don't miss that place that's for sure. But I do miss OJ. I am glad I get to see her again.

Roller Boogie

Cody's scout troop went skating today...funny. And yes I got out there to, I was ok. I guess it's like riding a bike, you never forget. I did do some dancing but of course I was the one with the camera, so no shots of me. Sorry!
