My son's friend came home from school with this toy. I have been trying to find this toy for years and years...and here it is. Now what is it called? Does anyone know?

Friday Feet

It's been a good week. I found out I don't have to go to court next week, just the other party has to be there. We got our flight booked for Mt. and I was able to save $30 bucks on groceries. The things that make us proud. This weekend is full. Scouts, friends and Christmas lights. But like always. Memories will be made.

Light Weight

So it's been a long long time since I had a "drink". And my friends were going out last Saturday, so I went. Now I can handle booze, I have had a drink every now and then. But this Saturday was hard. I came home at 10:30, only having 3 drinks. Holy Crap. The bathroom was my bed for the night. I got so sick. Gross details really. I was heaving hard. I actully wanted to go to the hospital. Can you see that? They would have given me a barf bag and laughed in my face. My sis thought it was funny, and really it is. Sue was a dear and helped me through the night and the next day, but now if I ever get sick again I am on my own. Now don't think I was drunk, it just hit me the wrong way...I think it was that shot of whiskey that put me over the top.
Ok now some big news...I have court next week. More details on that after tomorrow.

The Man

Cody is the man of the house, so this year he got to carve the turkey. Now Sue had to help a little, but he got the hang of it after awhile. I am so proud of my little man.

Our hoildays just got real busy. Since Cody's dad wants to see him and Cody wont go with him. I get to drive him to Ks. Yep right after school gets out we will drive there. Then the day after Christmas we come home. Only for a night cause then our real vacation starts. We fly to Mt. on the 27th to the 6th. Talk about non-stop. Yeah the first part isn't my fav but I will have tons of fun in Mt.

The Kid

The knee is healing very well...a tiny scab is forming.

And Now The Face...

So we are at the insurance place cause my friend got a new truck today and we were getting his ride covered, when the school calls. Cody busted his face on the playground. They were just giving us a heads up for when he got home. Apparently his forehead and nose are not the best to be seen. Poor child he is so roughed up. I will post a pic when he gets home. Might get one of his knee, it is pretty gross so I might spare yall.

4 Long Hours

Yesterday afternoon was going smooth, we were planning on what to have for dinner and just relaxing. Sue didn't have to work and I was looking forward to spending the night together. Well we all know that was too good to be true. I am not complaining about what happened. But Cody was riding his scooter and playing with his friend, I am on the phone with my sis...and BAM Cody falls off the scooter. Tears were pouring out. He had fell on his knee. Now most cuts, scraps, bumbs, and dings I can deal with, but this one was beyond my control. He had punctued his knee cap and I couldn't tell if it was bone or tissue. And the weird thing is it wasn't bleeding. The blood was collecting on the knee. I couldn't even clean it out. Instant swelling and this white stuff peering out. Soooo off we go, to the emergency room. What fun. We went to 2 waiting rooms and then 1 private room. It all came down to...he didn't hit the bone and we were looking at tissue but it wasn't damaged. They put some gross stuff on it and wrapped it up. He is doing good, no recess or PE for 2 days. And yes he loves that he got out of chores for a couple of days. And we got to spend the evening together, one big happy family. Dinner, was drive thru.

Sea!

I love the movie Titanic, I could watch it over and over again. This week alone I have wathced it 3 times. Everything about this grand ship just fasinates me.

Tuesday Tid Bits

Not much going on. It is going to be a queit week. Cody has Food for Families this week. Gathering food for the holidays. School is out next Tuesday, and we are staying home.
We are planning to go Montana in December, only for a visit. One day we will be there for good, but got to take care of some things first. Cody hasn't talked much about what happened. He is kinda mad right now. So I leave it alone.
Not much else going on, just blah.

Retire The Flag

Cody's scout troop had a Flag Ceremony this morning. Very nice! I had never known what to do with a flag when it gets all faded and torn. So I learned something new today.

Now What?

Well Cody ended up coming home last night. He didn't even make it 12 hours with his dad. To put it blunt, Cody told his dad he missed me, then it hit the fan. Cody called me from the hotel crying and he had lock himself in the bathroom. He wanted to come home. So of course Mr. One up got mad. He doesn't realize that he did this to Cody. I can understand how he feels, I was once in the same boat. Your child not in your life. It hurts. But I understand how Cody feels. His dad is trying to take him from the one thing he trusts. In Cody's words "I lost my mom once, I don't want to lose her again".
I am starting to think that he is realizing that he will ruin his relationship with his son totally if he continues to fight this. Hope so!

We are doing some more work on the house today. Then we can paint.
I also might be going to work soon. Need to big time. Enjoy your Sunday!

Happy Birthday Little Man

Today is my little man's birthday. The big 8 yrs old. Trust me he made out big time. We had a party last night for him with some family and friends, and this weekend he is hanging out with his dad. And the #1 present this year is the scooter! Thank you Aunt Leesa.

Tuesday Tid Bits

Not much going on here with us. Cody is getting over a cold, as well as myself. Sue is busy at work. And I am just doing my thing. Cody is about to turn 8...yeah this Saturday. He will spend it with his dad, but we are planning to do something with him Friday. Basically opens gifts and hang out. Some of our extended family is coming to see him so he will like that. He doesn't know one of them is coming so that will be cool. It's getting colder here. Not like my sis's place. I can't wait to be there. We are planning a trip there for part of the Christmas Holidays...Cody will be with his dad some of it, maybe. So I am looking forward to that. Ok all for now...

I was tagged by Stacie, and I will post that later today. But I wanted to post Cody's awards ceremony. He did excellent. "A" Honor Roll, Math Whiz, Perfect Attendance, and Homework award. Not too shabby. If only we good get that mouth shut we would be doing perfect. But hey I can't complain.

Well the season is over. We have 3 months and we start again...the kids did great. They had a fun time playing and learned alot. I will be coaching next season, I am back in the soccer swing.

Friday

It's the weekend. We are packed full with activites. Tonight is soccer practice, parents verses kids. This will be fun. Tomorrow we have two games then a team party. Then we have a break till Febuary. I will be coaching Cody's team again next season. After that the lock-in, still not to sure about that. Boys up all night, climbing walls, and me not there. Wait, what am I thinking....
