More Projects

So, the tub project turned into a back door project.
Which wasn't easy.
My back door had to be taken off completely, we had to clean off all the old caulk and move old siding, and get all new screws.

So this left my back door gone for 6 hours.
Heat pouring in, flies everywhere, OMG it was HOT.

My mind went back to TDC, my 5x9 cell with no AC, and a very small personal fan.
For a brief moment I was edgy. I hadn't really thought about how things were, or remembered things so clearly until today. The little things we take for granted.

But.. the door is back on, no more leaking, and I've killed at least 20 flies.
( and for my sis.. I did think about the flies last wishes) :P

My house is cool again :)

Who Did It?

My tub has a huge crack in the middle. How it got there.. I don't know.
Cody says some Heffer did it.
We won't go there :P

So.. Sue and Cody are working hard and hopefully it will do the trick.

Both of them are in here reading directions. A 7yr old leading the 41yr old.
I'm curious to see which one gets the job done.

Festiva

I went to the Pride Festival in Austin on Friday. The people were amazing. As my sis would call me, I was a dumbass and forgot my camera. I did have my camera phone though :) You should have seen some of the people there and how they were dressed. I had a great time on 6th street.

Few photos from my trip...

Well I have been posting my blog via Leesa, I dont have a computer yet, but today I am at my bestest friends house so I thought I would blog myself.

Cody and I have gotten back into the swing of things at home, but are ready to go back to MT. the mosquitoes are killing us. Cody's legs look like he has the measles. But of course he doesn't mind...I do however. Only one month and 8 days till we go. Speaking of counting days. I have one month and 4 days till the state of Texas no longer has ahold of me. I get off parole July 12th. I have paid for my mistake and then some. The longest 3yrs of my life. But to be fair I really didn't have that hard of a time with it. I ahd my family there with me the whole time. And parole is that that hard, just stay clean and pay your fees, too easy. So yes I will be celebrating July 12th. Oh and the day before is my birthday, the best birthday present ever.

So if you don't hear from me everyday you know why. I will have a computer soon.

NBA All-Star

Wow..this basketball stand is a piece of work. I didn't even attempt to put it together. Sue and our neighbor decided to get to work on it.
They started at 4:30pm and finished at 9:00pm. And they only had to switch parts about eight times and then it was backwards. Our neighbor got her foot slammed by the foot of the base. But it's all together now and complete.

Now the question is where to put it?
With like 100# of sand in it, it's not easy to move.
Cody better be a pro and make lots of money.

Back Home

Cody got a new basketball goal--the kind that takes HOURS to put together, and I have no clue what I'm doing.
I think I will need Sue's help, I couldn't even lift it out of the truck myself. I'm interested to see how long it will take and how many cuss words I go through :)

The things we do for our kids.

I'll keep you updated.

First Class

During our layover in Seattle we were informed that our gate had been changed. When we went to the correct gate, they were waiting for us. The ticket guy said, "Ms. White and Mr. Cable?"...you have been upgraded to First Class!
We sat in the front row, only two seats so we didn't have to share with anyone else. Plenty of leg room :), with bottles of water waiting for us.
Before they even shut the door, they asked us if we wanted lunch, which was a salad and a hot turkey and swiss sandwich.
And....they offered us portable movie players which consisted of nine movies, cartoons, videos, earplugs, etc. We were stylin'!!
All, the sodas we could drink, little chocolate candies in tinfoil wrap (which Cody was very excited about).
This is the best part : The whole way home I didn't hear Cody at all, which made the trip so much easier and shorter.
